Also, make sure to have methods in place for sharing this information with trading partners.

Data analytics is key: Putting together meaningful data analytics from massive databases requires infrastructure. Distributors can provide data analytics, such as scarecards for banner ads that manufacturers fund. This service can be a differentiator among competitors.

E-commerce is a multifaceted channel: This ShareGroup noted that e-commerce consists of multiple channels: business-to-business (B2B), business-to-customer (B2C), and marketplaces as each involves different market strategies, trends, and themes.
